Everybody is aware of the great sacrifices that mother dogs are prepared to make for their pups. Their will to support their kids is really incredible.
This is the reason it is really depressing to observe how many of them live in substandard homes and battle to get necessities like food and water for their children.
The mother dog in this tale was on the point of desperation and was pleading with total strangers to save her pups.
A Helpless Cry
Rescuers were pressed for time when word spread of a stray dog who had been abandoned on the streets following childbirth.
What transpired next as they searched the area for the afraid animal shocked them.
Having given birth to her puppies, she was attempting to keep them safe. She got rather agitated and unsure if her rescuers meant to hurt her when they tried to approach her.
They so circled around to feed the dog after returning to their car for some goodies. She was so famished that, although being incredibly reluctant, she finally took the food.
At last they got a good look at the puppies. They looked not to be doing well and required assistance right now.
To make the mama dog understand that they were come to aid her and the pups, the rescuers attempted to pet her.
They then discovered a tiny leash around her neck, indicating that she had probably formerly belonged to someone but was abandoned.
Tragic and Resurgent
They removed her from the puppies so they could try to help them after at last getting her to calm down.
She started kissing her puppies and staring at the people as though she were pleading with them to take action after witnessing their appalling state.
But when the rescuers discovered that four of the five puppies had died and just one had barely survived, things took a bad turn.
Their mother was obviously upset and had been frantically attempting to rouse them up.
That they were powerless to intervene devastated the rescuers. They knew it was over, yet they brought the puppies and the mama dog along.
They buried the four infants after bringing them to a shelter and did all in their power to support the mother and her final surviving child.
Though not in excellent health, they were gradually recovering and, for once, things appeared to be improving.
The rescuers accepted in two more puppies the following day who had been abandoned and now need care. To check whether she would assist, they were taken to the mama dog.
At first a little perplexed, she embraced them and, being the brave dog she is, nursed them back to health.
There’s no question the puppies will find a home even though we don’t know what happened to them. It will still take some time until they are big enough for adoption.
