An elegant couple in their forties checked into our premium hotel. Our 18-year-old bellboy assisted them with their several suitcases. After two hours, he did not return. We called, but there was no answer. Hours later, we had to check the couple’s room, despite the ”do not disturb” notice. We walked in and discovered the bellboy and husband playing PlayStation while the wife prepared food. The couple later explained that they often felt lonely because they didn’t have children and wanted the warmth of a family environment. They were bored, so they invited the bellboy to remain and keep them company.

Our surprise heightened when the bellboy revealed that he had agreed since they had promised him $2,000.

We were speechless.

I worked at a five-star hotel. A lady once asked the front desk about her misplaced Cartier bracelet, saying that it was in her room and that someone had taken it. When the guest left, the girl at the front desk quietly opened the safe and took money out.

She went to the nearest Cartier store to acquire a similar bracelet after the guest showed her a photo of the missing one. Of course, the lady was quite happy, and she continued to book with our hotel whenever she came in town.
