Though many shelters make every effort to provide the animals in their care with the finest and most comfortable stay possible, occasionally that is simply insufficient.
Truly happy animals all need a hooman of their own.
An animal can therefore tend to lose hope, grow dissatisfied, or even become depressed if it spends a long time in the shelter.
Thank goodness, there are foster homes to prevent this.
Going To The Shelter
Prior to arriving at one of the biggest municipal animal shelters in the nation, Dallas Animal Services (DAS), a puppy by the name of Ronnie was a stray with nowhere to live.
But this cute dog seemed as content as he could be as soon as he walked into the Dallas shelter. Walking about the shelter with pride, he was presenting himself to everyone and demonstrating his virtues.
“He was a happy, friendly, wiggly boy who was so excited to see his human friends,” Dallas Animal Services public information coordinator Marlo Clingman told The Dodo.
Ronni’s example was typical of the DAS goal of placing their animals in loving foster or permanent homes as quickly as possible.
A family contacted the Dallas shelter and offered to foster Ronni after he was a good, calm youngster.
At Foster’s House
The content puppy was ecstatic as soon as his foster mother arrived to pick him up.
His foster mother Ashley made him very happy. The moment he got in their car, he was grinning and waving.
Fortunately, Ashley captured a picture of Ronni before they got in the car, and she saw how much this meant to him at that point.
He said, “He could hardly keep his eyes open from his enormous smile.”
That Ronni would finally be a house dog to a family that would truly love him amazed him.
This happy puppy entered his new home knowing it would be a caring, entertaining, and cuddly place.
He promptly behaved himself and, whenever he got the chance, he kissed his foster family to show his appreciation.
Seeing the depth of love a puppy may have in its heart, his foster family hopes he will be adopted by someone who will not only treat him with the respect he deserves but also return that love a thousandfold.
“Ronnie is a big doggy lover and would be delighted to have a playmate or at the very least a pal to go on playdates. He has equal fondness for men and women and is incredibly grateful to his foster parents for letting him leave the shelter. He performed admirably with a kid, giving him a big, messy, canine kiss, Marlo added.
Last Remark
This content puppy will undoubtedly find a warm and loving forever home soon, and he will live out his days in the arms of a hooman who values and respects him with the respect he deserves.
Ronni, get well!
