Dogs that live on the streets have to be able to withstand the threats and hostility. Though many of them have to spend their whole lives without a home, some are lucky enough to come across groups that will adopt them and even place them with new families.

Few are so lucky, even though it could portend a promising future. Some puppies must be happy to stay in their cages and be only observers while others are adopted by happy families.

This is what happened to a puppy whose moving attitude went viral on TikTok when an application arrived at a Brazilian dog shelter.

It is a German shepherd breed “spirulais,” according to Só Notcia Boa, that clung to the leg of a young woman who came to view possible puppies for adoption. With his eyes and actions, the dog seemed to be communicating with her that all he wanted to do was get out of there.

All the girl was thinking was which puppies she would prefer and which would be the best to bring home. But this dog only wanted to go with her because he was so keen to escape her little jail. She seemed to be ‘pleading’ to leave.

The girl and the shelter workers thought it funny even though the puppy was obviously depressed. Having hung on the leg for a while, the “dog” was put back in his small cage.
