The how of a cute Pit Bull mix from Florida being up on Michigan streets is unknown. Hopeful that someone would see her, she was shaking from the cold. Her rescue and safekeeping were provided by the Midland County Humane Society.
Blue the dog was relieved to be removed from the streets. Finding that Blue had a microchip made the shelter personnel very happy.
E-mailing Blue’s Owner
A woman responded when they dialed the number linked to the microchip. When the staff members learned that Blue lived in Florida, they were taken aback.
A week ago, the woman claimed, Blue vanished. It escaped her how the one-year-old dog ended up in Michigan.
The woman wanting Blue back thrilled the shelter employees. They got to work recruiting a volunteer to drive Blue home right away.
On social networking sites, the shelter made a request. Hundreds of individuals, affected by Blue’s tale, offered to put her back with her owner.
Making The Florida Travel Plans
It was decided to drive the lost dog across the nation by Stephanie James.
James went to the shelter to pick up Blue with her brother after she took a vacation. James was smitten with the adorable dog from the first time they met.
Aboard James’ Chevy Blazer, the three of them set out for the Sunshine State.
Blue became immediately enamored of them. James lost it as the cute dog settled her head on her shoulder while they were driving. The dog was so endearing. She kissed and poured love onto them.
When they eventually made it home, 1,300 miles later, the owner’s mother opened the door and greeted them. The 22-year-old owner of Blue was away from home.
Blue knew her house at first sight, and she was waiting impatiently to see her owner’s face. The cute dog began to bounce with delight as soon as she got home.
They all discussed Blue and tried to find out how she got to Michigan. When they weren’t at home, Blue’s owner and her mother reportedly left the puppy in a kennel in the backyard.
Her dog is incredibly intelligent and wiggly. They believe she wandered over to the highway and was picked up by someone,” James added.
The Startling News
James was horrified to learn, after some time, that Blue’s owner wanted them to return Blue to the Michigan shelter.
I can’t commit to the puppy, she told me, because I work and attend school full-time. You folks seem like decent individuals. Blue favors you well. You have looked after her well, James said.
Speechless was James. She hoped the owner had informed the shelter employees of this as soon as they got in touch with her.
James walked Blue to the car with her brother. Blue was staring back at her house the whole time they were driving away.
The doggo’s dejected and perplexed look had James in tears.
“We told Blue, ‘It’s going to be OK, we love you.'”
Blue would be much happier someplace else, she told herself again and over. The dog was better off going back to Michigan.
James wished she could offer Blue the home she so richly deserved, but she already had four rescue dogs at home. Blue would find a family quickly, she was certain of it.
The owner no longer wanted Blue, James informed the Humane Society over the phone while they were traveling back.
Not long later, Blue’s supporters were notified of her predicament and an update was sent on social media by the shelter personnel. They were devastated to learn that her mother had rejected the adorable puppy.
Perfect Forever Home Found for Blue
Application for adoption quickly descended upon the shelter. Many individuals gave their hearts to Blue, hoping to be her parents for life and love her as much as she deserved.
The new father of Blue, Robert Allison, hurried over to meet her two hours after James and her brother brought her back to the shelter.
He was searching for another dog after his cherished Pit Bull crossed the rainbow bridge. He completed an adoption application as soon as he learned of Blue’s story. When the shelter extended an invitation for him to visit Blue, he was ecstatic.
Allison headed for the shelter after his lunch break. Meet her, he was eager to do. They clicked right away as Blue rushed to his arms when she spotted him.
She sprang on me as I approached. She definitely connected with me, Allison remarked.
That same day Blue ended up back at the shelter, he drove her to her forever home.
Moving into her new house delighted Blue, who made herself at home immediately. Every day she gives her family kisses because she adores them so much.
The gorgeous dog and James were both overjoyed to meet one another.
That Blue discovered the great love and affection she so richly deserved makes us very happy. Many thanks to everyone who helped Blue have a happy ending, including James and the Midland County Humane Society.
