This courageous Lab girl was on the verge of surrender when she was discovered outside a California shelter. Amber was so thin and malnourished that she could hardly raise her head.

Aside from a solitary teddy bear, which she cherished, she had no possessions whatsoever. The sight of her shackled form, clinging to her fluffy companion, devastated her rescuers. But it still wasn’t all there was to it…
A Girl With With The Sweetest Secret
Adding insult to injury, Amber was also carrying a litter.
She gave birth to six small yellow babies that night before she was rescued and brought to a shelter in the Bay Area of California.
“Lab crimson The DARP team shared a Facebook post about Mama Amber, who was left chained to the shelter fence throughout the night while she was quite pregnant. The next day, she gave birth at the shelter.
Amber felt somewhat better because the kind shelter volunteers were there to keep her company and provide care throughout.
Sonoma County, California’s Dogwood Animal Rescue Project opted to take in Amber and her kids the following morning after hearing their story.
Amber was naturally overwhelmed and fatigued on her first day at the rescue.
“During her initial day with us, she spent most of her time resting in her cozy bed, likely drowsy from being abandoned at the shelter with her stuffy (which happens to be a great pillow) and from giving birth so soon after,” her Facebook post from caregivers explained.
Even though she was sick, she was still an amazing mother; she just needed time to relax.
Finally Warm And Safe Inside
It was hard to take your eyes off of Amber since she was the most charming and charming girl anyone had ever met. She was still behaving like a puppy, wanting love and giving it to everyone, even though she was a mother now.
Above all else, Amber and her litter’s carers were overjoyed to get a second opportunity.
Amber’s tiny family is indoors, secure and warm, even if it’s raining and chilly outside. In a Facebook post, the rescue expressed their gratitude for being able to offer a caring home for the animals.
Now that she and her five children have overcome a horrific past—the most difficult period of her life—they are heading in the right direction.
From this point on, they will patiently await the arrival of humans who will enter that door with a singular purpose: to adopt them as permanent family members!
She meticulously watched over her puppies the entire time, ensuring sure they were healthy and nourished properly. A tragic event occurred not long after they relocated to the new institution; one of her babies passed away.
Despite the fact that this was predictable—especially considering Amber’s stress levels and her extreme malnutrition—the emotional impact was devastating.
The loss of their beloved pet left a profound hole in Amber’s and her hoomans’ hearts. Still, Amber and her other infants’ sakes required that they press on.
